Hi! I’m Laura and I’m a personal trainer, CrossFit coach and licensed clinical social worker. Believe it or not, those things inform each other because physical health and mental health are intertwined: both show signs of health, distress, etc.
My goal is to help people feel like taking care of their health is worthwhile and teach them how to do it. This is not for aesthetics, AND you look and feel happier and better when you know how to take care of yourself. I provide information and suggestions for nutrition tracking and provide weightlifting and/or running plans to help you make progress and learn what does and does not work for you and your health.
The biggest mistakes I see are “all or nothing” mindsets and doing too much (restricting food and drastically increasing exercise). You don’t have to workout 2 hours every day and eat only chicken and broccoli to see results: together, we figure out what time and resources you have and we start there.Health is mostly about habits: moving intentionally every day and eating what makes you feel good and satiated.
